An editor’s response to AI

After more than a decade shaping headlines and sharpening brand voices, Kate began to notice a shift in the copy landing on her desk. It was polished but strangely hollow. Too neat. Far too safe. Stripped of personality and nuance. Clichés everywhere. Excessive capitals and far too many em dashes!

My editor’s instinct kicked in. This wasn’t human. It was AI, and poorly directed.

That moment became the catalyst for Radar.

Radar is a creative consultancy based in Byron Bay, Australia, built to help brands integrate AI without sacrificing voice, credibility or creative integrity. As an AI content strategist, I developed RadarGPT – a custom AI engine designed to work with human judgment, not replace it.

This work led to the development of an AI Editorial Integrity System – a structured approach to integrating AI that preserves voice, standards and creative intent.

Kate's work is focused on keeping brands at the forefront of AI’s creative evolution while ensuring what makes them distinctive remains intact.

Human creativity matters. Radar exists to protect it.

FAQs

Is Radar right for my business?

Radar is best suited to brands where voice, credibility and trust matter – particularly in wellness, education, professional services and expert-led businesses. If you care about how your brand sounds and want to use AI without becoming generic, Radar is a good fit.

Do I need to understand AI to work with you?

Not at all. Part of Radar’s role is to translate AI into something useful and intuitive. You don’t need technical knowledge, just a clear sense of your brand and goals. We handle the strategy, systems and setup.

Will my content sound like AI?

No. In fact, preventing that is the point. Radar’s work is designed to eliminate robotic tone, clichés and formulaic structure. AI is used as a support tool, guided by editorial judgment and brand standards.

Is Radar a tech company or a creative consultancy?

Radar is a creative consultancy with deep editorial expertise. We use AI as part of the process, not the product. Human judgment leads every decision.

Can you work with existing content or brand guidelines?

Yes. We often start by auditing and refining what already exists. Your current content, tone and brand guidelines help inform how RadarGPT is trained and how your prompts are built.

Do you replace writers or in-house teams?

No. Radar supports teams rather than replacing them. We help writers, marketers and founders work more effectively by giving them better systems, clearer direction and stronger editorial guardrails.

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients see an immediate improvement in clarity and consistency once prompts and systems are in place. Over time, this compounds, reducing revision cycles, improving confidence and strengthening brand recognition.

Is this only for large brands?

Not at all. Radar works with solo founders, small teams and established organisations. The right fit isn’t size – it’s how much you value voice, quality and long-term credibility.

Still unsure?
